01Check the file

The installer's SHA-256 is published next to it. If yours matches, it is the file we published.

updates.prospiratweaks.com/download/windows.sha256

That file names the current installer and its fingerprint. To check yours, open PowerShell in the folder you saved it to and run (Get-FileHash '.\Prospira Tweaking Utility_*_x64-setup.exe').Hash.ToLower(). The hash it prints has to match the one in the file, character for character. Download it only from this page - a copy handed around anywhere else is not one we can vouch for.

02If Windows warns you

The installer is not code-signed yet, so Windows may stop it once. Choose More info, then Run anyway.

Microsoft Defender SmartScreen holds back programs it has not seen often from a publisher with a code-signing certificate, and we do not have that certificate yet. So the first time, Windows may show Windows protected your PC. Choose More info, check that the file is Prospira Tweaking Utility_…_x64-setup.exe, then Run anyway.

What protects you instead is our release key. Every version is signed with it: the update server accepts no file without that signature, and the app checks it again before it installs an update - a file that fails the check is never started. The installer you download here is that same signed release, and the checksum above confirms you have it.

03What the installer does

It asks for administrator permission once, has you accept the terms, then installs the version it carries.

In order: Windows asks whether to let it make changes, because the app itself runs as administrator. You choose English or Polish. You accept the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy and confirm you are at least 18. Then it installs the app and offers to start it.

It always installs to C:\Program Files\Prospira Tweaking Utility, and that is not offered as a choice. The app runs with administrator rights, and only a folder that ordinary accounts cannot write to keeps other software from swapping its files. If an older copy is installed, the new one replaces it, and the same version is repaired; a newer one is left as it is. If Prospira is running, the installer asks you to close it first.

04What you need

Windows 11 on a 64-bit PC, an administrator account, a connection, and a Discord account to sign in.

Windows 11, 64-bit - Windows 10 and Windows Server are not supported, and the installer says so rather than trying. An account that can approve administrator changes. An internet connection, for the download and later for signing in, and about 1 GB of free space on the Windows drive while it installs. You sign in to the app with Discord.

The Entry tier is free. Champion, and what it adds, is on the utility page.

05Updating and uninstalling

The app updates itself. You remove it like any other program.

New versions arrive inside the app, signed and checked the same way, so you do not need this page again. To remove it, open Settings, then Apps, then Installed apps, and uninstall Prospira Tweaking Utility. Turn off the changes you want undone before you do: the app is what undoes them.

Tick Delete the application data in the uninstaller to remove everything it kept on the PC as well. Leave it unticked and the record of what it changed stays, so installing it again can still undo those changes.
